1. Supplier and contact
The kticket software and kticket.dev are operated under the business brand kticket (“kticket,” “we,” or “us”). Questions about these terms or the software may be sent to support@kticket.dev.
2. Paddle is the Merchant of Record
Our online order process is conducted by our authorized reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for kticket orders and handles the checkout, payment processing, applicable sales taxes, receipts, and payment-related returns. Paddle’s buyer terms and privacy disclosures are presented during checkout and apply to the payment transaction.
These kticket Terms govern the software license, delivery, acceptable use, and support relationship between you and kticket.
3. Product and price
A purchase grants one permanent kticket license bound to the valid Machine ID submitted at checkout. Paddle shows the final price in the available local currency and any applicable tax before you authorize payment. Quantity is limited to one machine per transaction.
This is a one-time purchase. We do not enroll you in a recurring subscription and do not charge renewal fees for the licensed edition.
4. License grant
After successful payment and delivery, kticket grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the licensed edition of kticket on the single machine whose Machine ID appears in the signed license file. The license has no expiry date.
- You may use kticket for your own lawful personal or internal business operations.
- You may keep reasonable backup copies of the license file, but may not use one license concurrently on multiple machines.
- You may not sell, sublicense, share, publish, or distribute the license file.
- You may not bypass, tamper with, or misrepresent the licensing mechanism, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot be restricted by contract.
Source availability on GitHub does not grant additional rights beyond the license terms expressly included with that source. kticket and its branding remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
5. Machine binding and offline verification
You must generate the Machine ID on the computer you intend to license using kticket license machine-id. The Machine ID is derived from stable firmware identifiers and includes a checksum. Raw hardware UUIDs and serial numbers are not submitted to checkout.
Once installed, the license is verified locally using a digital signature. kticket does not require online activation or periodic license check-ins. Operating-system reinstallation normally preserves the Machine ID, but motherboard replacement, virtual-machine recreation, or firmware changes may alter it. Replacement requests are handled under the Refund & Service Policy.
6. Delivery and support
After Paddle confirms a completed transaction, kticket creates the signed license and sends it as an email attachment to the customer email verified through Paddle. You are responsible for providing a correct email address, checking spam or quarantine folders, and securely backing up the delivered file.
Delivery, replacement, and response commitments are described in the Refund & Service Policy. Buyer support is available at support@kticket.dev.
7. Updates and product changes
A perpetual license is a permanent right to use the licensed edition; it is not a promise that every future product, separately priced edition, operating system, Kubernetes version, or third-party dependency will remain compatible forever. Maintenance updates may be offered at our discretion. A future product sold as a separate edition may require a separate license.
8. Your responsibilities
kticket performs Kubernetes administrative operations using the credentials and cluster permissions you provide. You are responsible for cluster authorization, backups, security review, generated kubeconfig files, recipient access, and compliance with your organization’s policies. Review planned changes before execution and test in a non-production environment where appropriate.
9. Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, kticket is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every Kubernetes environment. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liabilities that applicable consumer law does not permit us to exclude.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, kticket is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of credentials, lost profits, or unauthorized cluster access arising from misuse or failure to secure generated credentials. Our aggregate liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for that license, except where such a limit is prohibited by law.
10. Termination
Your license rights may terminate if you materially breach these Terms, including unauthorized distribution or multi-machine use. Upon termination or an approved refund, you must stop using and delete the license file and any unauthorized copies. Provisions intended by their nature to survive termination remain effective.
11. Changes, disputes, and mandatory rights
We may update these Terms for future purchases by posting a revised effective date. The version accepted at checkout continues to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or is more favorable to you. Please contact support first so we can attempt to resolve any dispute. Applicable mandatory consumer rights and the jurisdiction of competent courts are not restricted by these Terms.
